A Gold Medallist in her M.A., she was awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship in 2015 and completed her Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS from Aligarh Muslim University. Her interdisciplinary research spans land management, micro-climate, human health, water management, and gender studies. She also contributed as a Research Assistant on a Ministry-sponsored GIS mapping project in Tamil Nadu.
