Her scholarly interests range widely, encompassing entrepreneurship and focusing on the culturally instantiated facets of the debate on gender entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial competencies, family businesses, entrepreneurship education, and the informal economy. Her PhD research contributes to the already established discourse on gendering entrepreneurship and provides explicit feminist perspectives highlighting the inadvertent reinforcement of women’s subordination to men in the context of entrepreneurial endeavours. Bridget is the deputy track chair for the Entrepreneurship SIG at the British Academy of Management. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Aptos;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eJoan Lockyer\u003c\/strong\u003e is a Professor of Entrepreneurship. She has extensive experience of strategic leadership and entrepreneurship development in a wide range of organisation types. She has led several projects successful in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Joan’s research interests focus on the transformative effect of entrepreneurship through education, but specifically on the interplay of policy, innovation and leadership. Since 2016, he has actively contributed as a research fellow, demonstrating exceptional leadership and expertise.
