Between 1986 and 2002 he worked in various pharmaceutical companies, mainly dealing with clinical research, and since 2006 he has collaborated with the Niguarda hospital as a statistician, dealing with statistical analysis of clinical data and with mathematical modelling of biological systems. He also is a consultant statistician for some pharmaceutical companies and other Italian hospitals.
