In 2013, he became a professor at the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where he is currently employed. He is the associate editor of the IEEE\/ASME Trans Mechatronics, IEEE Trans. Automation Science and Engineering, and ISA Transactions.
