Increasingly, interested parties from both within and beyond the region, including states, indigenous groups, corporate organizations, and NGOs and are pursuing their visions for the Arctic.  What form of political organization should prevail? His research interests include resource development in Central Asia and the Russian Far East, Arctic sovereignty claims in the context of climate change, and the social theory of global environmental issues.\u003cbr\u003eHannes Gerhardt is Assistant Professor, Department of Geosciences, University of West Georgia. His research interests include issues of sovereignty, territorialization, global governmentality, and the cultural dimensions of critical geopolitics. \u003cbr\u003eAdam Keul is Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, University of Connecticut.
