He is a member of the Audiovisual Diversity research group. His main lines of research are: Audiovisual and Cultural Diversity, Analysis of the Radio Market, History of Radio, and Strategic Management of Media and Communication Companies. He is the author of the book \u003ci\u003eThe Origins of Radio in Spain\u003c\/i\u003e.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eJuan Ignacio Gallego\u003c\/b\u003e is a teacher and researcher in the Communication Department of the University Carlos III of Madrid, Spain. Currently, he is co-director of the MA in Music Industry and Sound Studies at the UC3M and a member of the Audiovisual Diversity research group.
