Young\u003c\/b\u003e is Professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he teaches courses in Sociolinguistics, English Syntax, Second Language Acquisition, and Research Methods. In his research, he investigates the relationship between the use of language and the social contexts that language reflects and creates. His books include \u003ci\u003eVariation in Interlanguage Morphology\u003c\/i\u003e (1991), \u003ci\u003eTalking and Testing\u003c\/i\u003e (1998), and \u003ci\u003eLanguage and Interaction\u003c\/i\u003e (2008).
