He has published on Milton, Robert Browning, Michael Field, Charles Kingsley, Robert Frost, Henrietta Huxley, Victorian agnosticism, Victorian masculinities, and co-edited a collection of essays on \u003ci\u003eMargaret Oliphant\u003c\/i\u003e (1999) and on \u003ci\u003eLandscape, Writing and Community\u003c\/i\u003e (2001).
