Performing Arts / Acting & Auditioning

Have you always dreamed of going to drama school? Are you considering how to pursue a career in acting, but aren't quite sure of the path? Have you had people look at you like you're mad when you've said you want to do this? Then this book is for you.

But that is not all - this book is not just for you. It's been written for you to share with the adults in your life - parents, grandparents, carers, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, drama teachers ... In fact, anyone who you want to understand more about your passion for acting and that you want to turn your passion into a profession.

This book will help you to express to them how you feel about acting, your ambitions and what they can do to support you. It could be you or they currently they know nothing about the craft, the industry, the training or what it might take for you to embark on a successful acting career. And that's ok - this book is here to help.

You hear from those who have walked the walk - as well as from those who have taken a very different, but no less interesting, path - and the book is full of tips, food for thought, signposts for where to research further and encouragement to go pursue your dream.

This book will help you and the adults in your life with the many questions you'll undoubtedly have and make you aware of many more you hadn't even thought of yet.
