Following these itineraries overseas and back, Uslenghi illuminates the contested, political, and transformative relations that emerged as images and material culture travelled from sites of production to those of exhibition, exchange, and consumption.\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eAlejandra Uslenghi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the Comparative Literary Studies program at Northwestern University, USA. She is the editor of Walter Benjamin: Culturas de la Imagen (2007). Uslenghi specializes in nineteenth and twentieth-century Latin American literature, with an emphasis on visual culture.
