He graduated from the University of Technology Graz, Austria with a Dipl-Ing degree (BS and MS) in Chemical Engineering and received his PhD in the fabrication of photovoltaic devices from the University of Sheffield, UK. Dr. Daoud has received several awards for his pioneering work on self-cleaning fibers using nanotechnology which featured in leading journals such as \u003cem\u003eNature\u003c\/em\u003e (2004) and \u003cem\u003eScience\u003c\/em\u003e (2008).
