This issue of the \u003ci\u003eJournal of Social Issues\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eEducation Inequality: Opportunity and Mobility,\u003c\/i\u003e focuses on this theme.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cdiv\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eNorman Eng\u003c\/b\u003e is an adjunct assistant professor of childhood education at the City University of New York, Brooklyn College and City College of New York. His research focuses on 21st century education, including publication in \u003ci\u003eSociety\u003c\/i\u003e journal and as a chapter in the book?\u003ci\u003eContemporary Issues in Curriculum\u003c\/i\u003e, published by Pearson in 2014. Most recently, he co-edited a symposium on \u003ci\u003e21st Century Excellence in Education\u003c\/i\u003e with Allan Ornstein and published articles for the \u003ci\u003eNational School Board Journal\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eEducation Week\u003c\/i\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAllan Ornstein\u003c\/b\u003e is a professor of education at St. John's University, New York. He is a former Fulbright-Hayes Scholar and Screening Committee Member of the Commission and author of more than four hundred articles and 60 books on education and social issues.
