Unified MoM-based electromagnetic modeling of grounding systems across all frequencies
Diverse and sometimes contradictory modeling approaches have left engineers without a consolidated resource for electromagnetic analysis of grounding systems. Electromagnetic Modeling of Grounding Systems unifies this research for the first time, presenting a computational framework applicable from DC through high frequencies exceeding 100 MHz and for lightning transients.
The book follows a structured approach, progressing from full-wave to low-frequency and quasi-static to DC models using MoM-based circuit-theory procedures for grounding analysis instead of traditional electromagnetic approach. With coverage of interrelations among quasi-static, circuit, hybrid, and full-wave methods, the author describes the integration of MoM with SPICE and EMTP circuit programs. Engineering analysis of harmonic and transient characteristics of various grounding configurations is presented, alongside design guidelines to optimize lightning-surge performance.

Electromagnetic Modeling of Grounding Systems serves practicing electrical engineers in power system transients, surge and lightning protection, and EMC design. It is equally suited for graduate students in electrical engineering and researchers developing computational tools for safety, power quality, and electromagnetic compatibility of grounding and connected electrical systems.
