In 2008 he joined Chalmers University of Technology as an Assistant Professor, where he is now working on the design, characterization and application of novel fluorescent nucleic acid base analogues.\u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eYitzhak Tor\u003c\/b\u003e is a Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the George and Carol Lattimer Professor at the University of California, San Diego. He earned his Ph.D. in 1990 from the Weizmann Institute of Science and conducted postdoctoral work at the California Institute of Technology.
