These proceedings contain the presentations from a landmark joint conference between AHTA and PPC, the two leading organizations promoting research, teaching, and practice in horticultural therapy. Candice A. Shoemaker is currently associate professor in the Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources at Kansas State University—Manhattan. She was formerly the director of the Chicago Botanical Center and from 1991-1996, she served as assistant professor, faculty coordinator and program director; horticulture; Berry College, Mount Berry, Georgia.
